20/2/2010		Signing the scientific cooperation treaty between the University of Mansoura and Nottingham University within the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Professor Ahmed Bayoumy, the president of university, and Christian Inew, vice president of Nottingahm British University, have signed a treaty for scientific cooperation between the two universities, according to which the senior students(fourth year students) are to submit to and follow the credit hour system in Mansoura University in order to get their B.Sc from the departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Nottingham University.

In addition, professor Ahmed Bayoumy Shehab El Din has decreed the procedures decided upon by the committee. Those procedures can be summed up as the following: Decreasing the number of students in  class rooms. Taking certain procedures related to the students' hostels. Activating the role of Students' Union at facing the spread of this disease. Taking the required protective procedures at facing the spread of the disease.

9/11/2009		An international surgical team in the unit of Pediatrics Surgery Professor Amr Sarhan, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, has declared that the unit of pediatrics surgery in the Pediatrics hospital is hosting the international volunteer surgical team for carrying out the operations of harelip and cleft palate, the operations of pharyngeal repair (pharynx), also the operations of anomalies of pediatrics   urinary tract. They will do those operations for free from the first till the sixth of November, 2009. The programs of Windows Update, Antivirus Update, and the international database are to be excluded from this as they can be downloaded for free.

The students of the second stage will submit to this check up from the 8th till the 16th of September and those who missed the first stage as well. This examination will be at the faculties of Education, Commerce, Law, as well as the clinics within the faculties of university.

2/8/2009		The program of cultural development ends the third stage in Mansoura University and continues in Gamassa The program of cultural development for the students of Mansoura University ends the third phase which started from the 20th of  June till the 12th of  July,2009 in the conferences' halls at the Faculty of Education. This stage includes 28 training workshops of about 13 secondary programs. This program has been received well among the students of the different faculties of  Mansoura University(or a large number of the students of the different faculties of Mansoura University has participated in this program. 4/7/2009		A Summer camp for strengthening the French language for the students of the Faculty of Arts Within the frame of cultural cooperation agreements between Egypt and France, the French center for culture and cooperation has offered a strong support to the French Departments in the Egyptian Universities. According to this agreement, it has been decided to start a French intensive training course for the Egyptian students in the French Departments in Mansoura  University, during the months of July and August of this year under the name "university  summer camp  to strengthen the French language". Moreover, this course will be taught by two professors from the French University ''Leon 2.''

9/6/2009		The installing of the giant screen for Mansoura University Sakr Company for developing industries has finally finished the installation , testing and operation of a giant electronic billboard (bulletin board) for Mansoura University. It is about 15 m² areas. This board will be used in advertising the different systems within the University including: scientific research, conferences, time of study, exams, etc.  It is expected to be used in advertising or announcing some kinds of adds (commercials).

The president of Mansoura University has also inaugurated the central control which is considered  one of the most important elements of quality and accreditation to facilitate the control works. Also, he has honored and awarded the distinguished students, the 36th group of both the English and French departments within the Faculty of Law who have got excellent grade or very good grade with honor degree and the holders of ph.D or Master's Degree as well. This conference will last for only one day from the 29th of April till the 30th of it, with the presence of Dr. Farha El Shenawy, vice president of higher studies and academic researches , Dr. Amr  Sarhan, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. the head of Pathological Department of the Faculty of Medicine, and a good number of medical professors of Mansoura University and other universities as well.

12/5/2009		Twenty Fourth Annual International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Commerce Faculty of Commerce has organized the 24th Annual International Scientific Conference entitled "Foreign Investment In Arab Countries – Reality and Ambition". It was inaugurated in EL-Sanhory class in the faculty of Law, it lasted for three days from the 7th till the 9th of April 2009. This conference was sponsored by Mr. Amr Moussa – the Secretary General of the Arab League, Dr. Mohamed Mohi El Din – minister of Investment, Dr. Hany Hilal – the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research , and Dr. Ahmed Bayoumy Shehab El Din – the president of Mansoura University.

Dr/ Ahmed Bayomi Shehab El Din, president of the university and chairman has attended this conference, as well as Dr/ Mohamed Swelam , vice president for Students' and Academic Affairs, Dr/ Bishry Abd El Momen, Vice President of Mansoura University (Dammietta branch), Dr/ Ahmed Gamal , the former minister of Education, Dr/ El Said Ahmed Abd EL Khalek , the dean of the faculty of Law and the vice president of the conference.
